Dear Parents and Carers
Over the last two weeks I have visited all our classes and I have been extremely impressed with the way students have resumed their studies after such a significant break in coming to school. Students are settled and focused on their studies. We also have needed to adjust some of our classes in the Middle Years Campus. Again those students affected have quickly settled into their new classes. Well done students and I thank our community for all their support. One concern however is the small number of students who are choosing to slide down muddy embankments or stand in the rain until drenched. When students do this we will be ringing home.
I also welcome back Mrs Ashley Frerk from maternity leave. Mrs Frerk will be teaching one of our Year 8 classes.
Usually at this time of the year we would be sending home a detailed report for each student. Due to COVID 19 and school closures we can’t do that accurately at this time. Instead we will be sending home a brief report that will indicate where your child is sitting in regards to year level expectations in core subject areas. Students who are assessed against their learning plan will have a report indicating how they are progressing against their goals. You should receive this in week 10. We will write a more detailed report later in the year.
Kind Regards
Louise Fisher (Principal)
